Apple brings battery percentage to more iPhones

Technology giant Apple also brings the battery percentage to iPhone models that it did not support before. Here are those models!

iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone mini models will be able to activate battery percentage

Apple has been on the agenda frequently with the introduction of the iPhone 14 series. The company which is pproducer of Apple announced that the new version of the operating systems it developed for technology devices, tablets, smartphones, smart watches and computers also other electronic devices in detail at the WWDC 22 event in June. Now, the highly anticipated iOS 16.1 beta update has been released. With the update, the battery percentage will appear on more iPhone models.

Apple shared the iOS 16 update with its users couple of days ago. The update, which attracted a lot of attention in couple of days ago, comes with various innovations. One of them was the ability to enable battery percentage in the status bar of iPhone X and later. However, this taking attention innovation didn’t apply to the iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and iPhone mini models.

With the iOS 16.1 beta released to developers today, the company's mind seems to have changed. The new beta version affects the battery percentage as well in the status bar for unsupported iPhone models .

Apple did not provide any explanation as to why the battery percentage indicator is not present on these models. Some users cited the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 as having an LCD with a lower pixel density than other iPhone models.

Also, the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini don't have much screen space in the notch due to their size.Even the company's support article confirmed that the feature is not available on these models. But, it seems that things have changed with the new update.

Despite the change, the feature works roughly the same as iOS 16.0. In a survey, more than half of users said they are satisfied with getting their iPhone battery percentage back. Although some people said that they did not like the new update,  that they would continue to use it anyway.
